For most of my life I felt lonely, scared, and unworthy of love. I was raised by parents either drowning in depression or battling anxiety from a lifetime of abuse. Needless to say, my emotional needs weren't a very high priority from a young age.

 As an adult, I withdrew, lived between the lines, and didn't call attention to myself. If you knew me back then, you'd probably think I looked perfect from the outside with a career as a submarine warfare veteran, Certified Senior Nuclear Reactor Operator, and Lean/Six Sigma Master Black Belt. What you didn't know is I felt ugly and small inside and that my life was not my own. I remember the exact moment when I broke through my pain. The first time I looked into my daughter’s eyes, I vowed not to pass decades of hurt on to the next generation. I began to study what made successful people happy. And the most important thing I discovered is that none of it: success, happiness, purpose was external. We’re born with absolutely everything we need.

Now, a decade later, I've been able to refine my journey into a coaching process with a proven framework for defining your authentic values, identity, and purpose to help every man, no matter where he starts, become the full version of himself without shame, fear, or regret.

Define Nonnegotiable Values

This is essential for living a more fulfilling, purposeful, and authentic life. By defining your nonnegotiable personal values, you gain a greater sense of clarity and direction in your life. You have a clear understanding of what is most important to you and what you stand for, which can help you make decisions and set goals that are in alignment with your values. When you live in alignment with your values, you are more likely to engage in activities and pursue goals that are meaningful and fulfilling to you as well as set healthy boundaries and maintain self-respect.

Rank Emotional Needs

Prioritizing your emotional needs leads to increased self-awareness, self-esteem, and overall well-being, you are also better equipped to handle stress and difficult emotions. When you take care of your own emotional needs, you are sending a message to yourself that you are worthy of love and respect, which can improve your overall sense of self-worth. By taking responsibility for your own emotional experiences, you can create a sense of balance and stability in your life, which can lead to greater happiness, fulfillment, and resilience. Additionally, when you fulfill your own emotional needs, you are less likely to rely on external sources for emotional validation, which can lead to greater independence and self-sufficiency.

Deconstruct Zone Moments

Zone Moments are incredibly powerful experiences that can help you gain a greater understanding of how past wins and losses have impacted your life, and identify any patterns or behaviors that may be related to the trauma. They also provide indicators of the strongest values and needs affecting your well-being and satisfaction.

Design Self Care

Personalized Self Care puts you in command of your own well-being and improves your overall quality of life. Taking this active role can lead to increased feelings of control and empowerment, as well as improved self-esteem and self-worth. When you prioritize self-care activities, you are sending a message to yourself that your well-being is important and deserves attention.

Accept Your Identity

Accepting your authentic identity leads to greater self-confidence, inner peace, and a sense of fulfillment. Accepting yourself means embracing who you truly are, including your personality, values, beliefs, and preferences, without feeling the need to conform to external expectations or societal norms and letting go of the pressure to be someone you're not. This is the path to increased self-confidence, as you feel more comfortable expressing yourself and being true to who you are. You will also experience a greater sense of inner peace, as you are no longer fighting against your true nature or trying to fit into a mold that doesn't fit.

Acknowledge Your Purpose

Purpose brings a sense of direction, meaning, and fulfillment to your life. By accepting your true purpose, you gain a sense of direction and focus in your life. You have a clear understanding of what you are meant to do and the impact you want to have, which can help you make decisions and set goals that are in alignment with your purpose. When you are aligned with your purpose, you are doing work that is meaningful and fulfilling to you, and you are making a positive impact in the world.

Thank and Forgive Your Childhood Self

This work will heal past wounds and negative beliefs that are holding you back in your life. Offering compassion to your inner child helps to release feelings of shame, guilt, or self-blame that may be associated with past experiences. By expressing gratitude to your inner child you can appreciate the positive aspects of your childhood and acknowledge the strengths and resilience that you developed as a result of your experiences. Forgiving your inner child releases any negative emotions or beliefs that may be blocking you from experiencing greater joy and inner peace in your life.
